What a Difference a Week Makes

My goodness, what  week I've had.  I've been pronounced brilliant, at least I think that's what my old lady said, something about putting my name down for uni.  She's  quite a card really, always laughing and joking, but then I get to cuddle into her neck and she sings to me (I haven't the heart to tell her she's tuneless.)

Last night I went to a party. Honestly. The great Johnny Lake was playing and my old lady worried my delicate little lug holes might suffer from the loud rock music, so we came home early and I walked all the way, in the dark. It was good though, my old fella (who's such a fab guy) held the flashlight and I chased this other little shadow doggy all the way home.

And so today we are having an at home day, that's what she said as she gave me a carrot!  A CARROT?  What does she think I am, a donkey?  Still, a gal's gotta take whatever comes along, ain't she?

Happy Landings

After a great slumber party at Alex's where I could sniff the Indian Take Out - but that's all, it was off to MacDonalds for breakfast and then to the airport for a ride in a big plane.  I had to travel inside that dreadful pink thing - how humiliating was that? This is a picture of me with my new Mom just before we said goodbye to lovely Alex.

After that it was loads of fun. I christened the front lawn of Hamiliton International Airport (well, a gal's gotta do, what a gal's gotta do, right?).

Then I watched all the comings and goings and had conversations with loads of folks who thought I was a Jack Russell!!!!!! Starting with the nice gal at WestJet, a large hairy brown dog who was going to New York, a woman at Tim Horton's called Susan (same name as my new Mom), and an interesting lady from New Brunswick.

So - I'm now in Nova Scotia in my new home and I've almost succeeded in biting the head off that dreadful pink elephant in between snuggles with my new Dad, playing the bottle game with big brother Bentley and finding the best peeing spots with Aunty Nelly. My new Mom keeps singing a song about that, but she can't sing so I cover my ears. She tells me I've landed on my feet. I guess...

Saturday 20th August 2011

Saturday was when I met my new Mom - which involved much hugging and squeezing and I suspect a little tear of joy!  Then everyone sat around munching while I hit the snooze button - don’t let this picture fool ya though - there was much hilarity and exchange of wit.

That's me, sitting on Alex' s lap while my new Mom took loads of photos.  I had a pee on the front lawn of the diner and then it was fond goodbyes all round. I was on my way...

Farewell my homeland

So this is it - I'm off on my adventures, leaving O H I O and all my mates.  Yesterday I had a bath.  I couldn't believe it; there am I very happy with my puppy whiffs and that ole Mom Diane comes along and gives me a bath - I sincerely hope this is not the start of something sinister.

So I'm off to Canada, to the land of mounties and maple syrup and I'm sure hoping it lives up to expectations - because I ain't had no bath for nuthin'!

I'll report in when I get to my new home - but hey - I just found out this monstrosity is what's waiting for me to travel in on the aeroplane - did I say aeroplane??????  wow, I'm so excited I nearly peed myself.  Mustn't do that on the plane, no sirree.

See you on the other side guys and gals...

P I N K ??????

Well with three days to go, I'm sure getting excited. But look what I just found out:
You might think that's the cutest little thing - but c'mon folks - it's a PINK elephant. If that's for me, then blow me down with tin of dog food, I shall be turning the same raspberry pink with embarrassment.  I ask you, what's next? If my new people have any idea about prissying me up in pink stuff they can think again. I'm more of a camouflage and combat boots kinda gal.  See you Saturday new Mom, and Sunday the rest of the gang - but look out, Lulu's coming...

Five days to go

OK - so here's the scoop guys and gals. I don't have a name yet - they call me polka dot girl and say I am the leader of the pack, the boss of the boys. But today is Monday and by the weekend I'll be on my travels. Yus siree, on my way to Canada to join my new family, just watch out you Nova Scotians cuz I plan on being the boss there too.

I hope they have a grand bossy name picked out for me, something like Broozer, or Rocky.  They may say I'm pretty but I can't be doing with one of them fancy names...
